About

The Waffle House Museum occupies the exact site of the first Waffle House restaurant, which opened Labor Day weekend 1955 on the Decatur/Avondale Estates line; the company repurchased and restored the building using original blueprints. It’s no longer an everyday-public walk-in attraction but offers free guided tours by appointment (Wednesdays, limited to 25 guests) plus four self-guided open-house Saturdays a year.
