About
Lake Claire Community Land Trust is a 1.5-to-1.7-acre neighborhood-owned greenspace purchased by residents in 1986, built out with hand-made mosaics, a peace garden, a Japanese meditation garden, an amphitheater stage, and dozens of community garden beds. The site is known locally for Big Lou, a resident emu who lives by the Peace Pond.
