Highland Tap

Highland Tap is a basement steakhouse on North Highland Avenue, done up like a 1920s speakeasy with exposed brick and low lighting. The kitchen turns out slow-roasted prime rib, hand-cut wood-grilled steaks, burgers, and fresh seafood, backed by a well-stocked martini list. It’s long been a Virginia-Highland go-to for a casual-elegant steak dinner, with complimentary valet parking behind the building.
