About
Taqueria del Sol is an Atlanta-born taqueria institution, known citywide for its fried-chicken tacos, migas, and cash-friendly, no-reservations dining room. Co-founded in Atlanta by chef Eddie Hernandez and Mike Klank, it grew from a single location into a small, Georgia-based family of restaurants across Atlanta, Tennessee, and North Carolina, still headquartered in Atlanta. The West Midtown location on Howell Mill Road keeps the brand’s signature long-line, fast-turning counter-and-table format. It’s a lunch and early-dinner favorite for Westside workers and regulars alike.
