Red Clay Music Foundry

Red Clay Music Foundry — booked and presented as “Eddie Owen Presents” — is a 260-seat listening room in downtown Duluth built around live performance every weekend, mostly singer-songwriters and acoustic acts. It was founded by Eddie Owen, a veteran Atlanta-area talent scout credited with early roles in launching the careers of John Mayer, the Indigo Girls, The Civil Wars, and Sugarland, and the room has since hosted the likes of Jason Isbell, Patty Griffin, Shawn Mullins, Brett Young, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Janis Ian. The building’s lower level also houses the Gwinnett School of Music for private and group lessons, making the venue as much a hub for the area’s music community as it is a place to catch a show.
